lavenderblue19
Doris Day's son Terry was a record producer, credit him for THE BYRDS, Lorretta Young, her son Peter Lewis was MOBY GRAPE. As far as the actor, Jerry Lewis and his son Gary Lewis and the Playboys?
MilesArcher
There's also Lucille Ball and Dean Martin, whose sons were part of Dino, Desi, and Billy. Don't forget about Ozzie and Harriet Nelson and their son, Ricky, and Shirley Jones and her son, Shaun Cassidy. How many of these sons do you think could have made it in music on their own, without famous parents?
lavenderblue19
Miles, don't mess with my Ricky, LOL he did inherit his parents musical talent and would have made it in the biz I think on his own. Great voice and very good musician and one of the best heart trobs at that time. ( I still love looking and listening to Ricky) Terry Melcher knew talent and would have been successful on his own imo.
MilesArcher
Oh, I agree with you, Lav. I also think that Gary Lewis could have made it on his own. In fact, I think that a lot of people didn't know that he was Jerry's son until well after he had been established. As for Dino, Desi, and Billy, well that might be a different story.
