DownGoesFrazier
What actor or actress appeared in the most consecutive musical films without ever appearing in a non-musical film in the interim? What was the film that broke the consecutive-musicals streak? Edited by: finance on Apr 3, 2011 3:55 PM
MilesArcher
I'm going to guess that it's Fred Astaire, with the first non-musical film being "On The Beach" in 1959. He later appeared in "The Towering Inferno" and "Ghost Story".

MilesArcher
Thanks. When Roy Rogers was first starting out in movies, he appeared in a film with Gene Autry where the two of them had a fight scene. Gene was the star, so he won, of course. Can you name the movie?
mudskipper
That was "The Old Corral", Roy's second film where he played a villain to Gene's hero...
MilesArcher
As Gabby Hayes would say "Right as rain , Skipper". Your turn now.
mudskipper
Roy Rogers starred in a movie about Christmas tree poaching where he was helped by many western stars of the day playing themselves. What was the name of the movie and name at least five of the western movie stars who helped Roy....
MilesArcher
That would be "Trail Of Robin Hood". Other western stars include Rex Allen, Allan "Rocky" Lane, Monte Hale, William Farnum (from silent days), Tom Tyler, Ray "Crash" Corrigan, Kermit Maynard (brother of Ken), Tom Keene, and Jack Holt (father of Tim). Roy had earlier starred in a movie called "Robin Hood Of The Pecos". Neither picture ever made reference to Robin Hood in the dialogue.
MilesArcher
I haven't gotten confirmation from mudskipper, but I'm very sure I'm right so I'll continue. I don't want to turn this into a Roy Rogers thread, but I will ask just one more. Roy was in a picture where Dale Evans and Gabby Hayes were running a circus. They were in financial distress. A rival was trying to force them to shut down. Roy played himself as a western movie star in this one. He put in a few calls and got five movie cowboys to come to help out. Can you name the movie and the five western stars who came to the rescue?
mudskipper
For the previous question, "Trail of Robin Hood" was correct. I also don't know what "Robin Hood" in the title refers to... For your question, the answer is "Bells Of Rosarita", with Roy being helped by Allan 'Rocky' Lane, Sunset Carson, Wild Bill Elliott, Don Barry, and Bob Livingston...
