lavenderblue19
Thanks. I can think of 3 films that these 2 made together. In real life, although he had performed song and dance, in vaudeville and on the stage (although most of us wouldn't think of this actor that way) she convinced him to try this hand at acting. The 3 films are good guy, bad guy types of films. She was a legendary actress. Can you name the actor and actress and the 3 films????? DownGoesFrazier
David Brian? Joan Crawford? FLAMINGO ROAD? THE DAMNED DON"T CRY? THIS WOMAN IS DANGEROUS?
lavenderblue19
Absolutely correct, finance. Joan Crawford was responsible for starting David Brian's film career.*Flamingo Road* , *The Damned Don't Cry* and *This Woman Is Dangerous* are the 3 films. Crawford had said that *This Woman Is Dangerous* (just shown on TCM this week) was her LEAST favorite film she EVER made! Good work, finance your thread. DownGoesFrazier
I hope she didn't blame David Brian, saying"I never should have gotten this ********started in the first place". I'll be back.
lavenderblue19
Ha. I don't think so. She was fond of him, just not the film. Still your thread.
DownGoesFrazier
This man was one of the most powerful people in the film industry in the late '60s and '70s, and he functioned entirely behind the scenes. Everybody important respected his clout and connections and even feared him, because he was also well-connected to the mob. What was his name? DownGoesFrazier
Hint: he was a lawyer by profession, but held no specific job in the film industry.

MilesArcher
From the RW clue, I thought it might be "Man Of The Year" where Robin Williams is a comedian who makes a run for the presidency, but with the new clue I think it's "Election" with Reese Witherspoon (RW) and Matthew Broderick (MB). lavenderblue19
Yup. Ann Curry and Matt Lauer were discussing this on the Today Show. It seems that *Election* is President Obama's favorite political film. That's the word they used "political" . thought it was an interesting bit of trivia. Good work, it's your thread. MilesArcher
Thanks. There was a sixties movie about the first woman elected President of the U.S. In the movie, her husband had to take over the traditional first lady roles.
