This talented guy cowrote the adapted screenplay (from a famous novel) with the film's director and a famous writer in the early 1940s. He also had sole producer credit for a film, made in the 1950s, that won five Oscars but didn't get a Best Picture nod. Lastly, he cowrote a screenplay, but received no credit for it and thereby losing out on the Oscar win fame for an early 1940s film. Name this talented guy and the three films.
