mudskipper
Thanks, here it is: "The businessmen who run Hollywood today have no self-respect. What interests them is not the movies but the bottom line. Look at "Dumb & Dumber" (1994), which turns idiocy into something positive; or "Forrest Gump"(1994) , a hymn to stupidity. ..'Intellectual' has become a dirty word..." cmvgor
Thanks, skipper (That sword didn't really sing; it just sort of hummed in Plainsong.) Next up: "He helped to kill off the influence of me and my contemporaries, but I respect him for that. Because music has to progress, and no-one could have opened the door to the future like he did." cmvgor
Thanks, Sixes. Yes, this is sad to watch. I respect work that Mr. Quaid has done (The Last Picture Show, Texasville, The Long Riders, etc), Just hope its over soon. Anyway, next up: "I recongize Terror as the finest emotion, and so I will try to terrorize the reader. But if I find that I can not terrify, I will try to horrify. And if I find that I can not horrify, I'll go for the gross-out. I'm not proud." ???
