Guest Evoraman
Everybody knows send-off lines from GONE WITH THE WIND, THE WIZARD OF OZ and CASABLANCA..but there's gotta be a bunch of other memorable lines from classic movies. Anybody know some good ones?
Guest mongo
How about Joe E. Brown's "Nobody's perfect!" from "Some Like It Hot" (1959)?
Guest Alix
How about this from the 1932 I AM A FUGATIVE FROM A CHAIN GANG: When the Paul Muni character is asked at the end of this movie how he survives day to day, he replies, "I steal..." and backs out of the camera range into black. Guest Dan, Coffee
Hey, you can't leave out KING KONG, where Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) forces his way through the crowd after Kong falls to his death from the Empire State Building. A policeman comes up to him and says, "Well, Mr. Denham, the airplanes got him!" and Denham replies, "Oh no -- the airplanes didn't get him. It was Beauty that killed the Beast." Guest M., Daria
How about John Hurt as the Elephant Man: "I am not a monster . . . I am a human being" Great film, but make sure you have a box of tissues close at hand before watching

Guest M., Daria
yes, i certainly was thrilled to see a "modern" movie in black an white . . . something about color photography always seemed a little unreal to me; to me, the color has to be JUST RIGHT, or everything just seems cartoonish or like a bad trip. :-p
Guest oshoko
Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond wrote both of my favorite send-off lines. The above-mentioned "Nobody's Perfect" in "Some Like It Hot" and "Shut Up and Deal" in "The Apartment"
Guest Kilduff, John
Arnold Schwarzenegger to Sharon Stone before shooting her in the head in "Total Recall": "Consider this a divorce!" That is a darkly funny line, IMO... Sincerely, John Kilduff

Guest Hitch
Nothing great about this last line of a film, but i thought it was a bit odd and pretty cool at the same time. Movie: The Two Mrs. Carrolls - Bogart is married to Stanwyck. Bogart slowly poisons his first wife by continuously slipping something nasty in her milk. He tries to do the same thing to Stanwyck but she finally catches on at the end. Bogart finds out that Barb is onto him so he tries to strangle her. The cops get their before he can finish. He doesn't put up a fight, he realizes it's over and the cops escort him down the stairs. When they get to the bottom, Bogart stops and politely asks "Could i interest you gentlemen in a drink....a glass of milk perhaps" The End
Guest Keaton, Rina
Eli Wallach in THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY, said my favorite closing line of all time: "Hey Blond! You know what you are? Just a stinkin' son-of-a- . . . (MUSIC). Classic ending!
