Guess what just came on about three minutes ago?

And once again I missed taping it because they switched Silent Sunday Night movies and I had no interest in taping the one they showed. If they showed the Hitchcock one I woulda caught this on tape. My luck!

Exactly, Nick...exactly! I really wish that TCM could start adding these shorts to their monthy schedules. Even a section at the bottom that gives the title and the date it can be seen would help! I haven't even seen this 1925 Studio tour yet...and it sounds like one that everyone should not only "see", but also tape! ML

I've also been waiting years to see this, and missed it as well. You know, TCM should add this studio tour to one of their "short subject" half hour shows that they do - usually real early in the morning. I just caught one this morning with three Judy Garland shorts on it while I was getting ready for work. If TCM added the studio tour to one of these "short" programs, then at least we have an easier chance of catching it.

I taped the silent flick they showed, b/c I wasn't aware of any prior all black casted silents.

Was that the first silent film with an all black cast?

Wow was this EXCELLENT. I just happened to catch it. I wasn't aware that it even existed but they covered everyone from the directors, to the stars (even refering to Joan Crawford as Lucille Lesuere)to the barbers and hairdressers to the publicity dept. AWESOME!!!

Yeah, I saw it twice in the last week and didn't have a cassette ready either time.

The Scar of Shame was not the first all-black silent. As Osborne mentioned in his intro, Oscar Micheaux was doing them for quite some time by that point.
