moviegeek3000
A classic in the film noir genre. Last night was the first time I got to see it, & let me tell you, I was VERY impressed. Of course with 2 screenwriters like Ben Hecht & Charles Lederer it makes it hard not end up with a great film. Was also impressed with not only Robert Montgomery's performance, but also his Direction in this gem of film. On a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a strong 9!! They don't make em like they used'ta! Can't wait for tonight's Epic film Triple-Feature.....Dr. Zhivago, Bridge on the River Kwai, & Lawrence of Arabia....movie people are SO lucky to have a channel like TCM....it gives us a chance to examine THE BLUEPRINTS, and I couldn't be more happier!
