Public Enemy(perhaps Cagney's best performance as a GANSTER), Smart Money(ahh....a wiseguy, huh?), TAXI!(sensational picture!), Picture Snatcher, The Gallant Hours(A great war film), & finishing up with Shake Hands With the Devil.......THIS IS WHY WE WATCH THE MOVIES!! Oh, it doesn't stop there film fans!! After that, TCM's got a KILLER(with an emphasis on KILLER)follow-up with a tribute to director ROBERT SIODMAK!! Like classic Film Noir/Mystery flicks? You'll be watching the four film tribute tonight if you do: Phantom Lady(YEOW!), The Spiral Staircase(holy smokes, doesn't get any creepier than this!), Criss Cross(Burt Lancaster & Yvonne De Carlo...need I say more?), & Escape From East Berlin!!! TCM=A God among movie channels!!!

bansi4
Just watched the movie "Smart Money" on TCMs Cagney salute in which he starred with Edward G. Robinson for the first and only time. I was reminded of just how good Edward G. Robinson really was. Mongo

odradek9
Yes---it was wonderful. What was the comedy short with about the gangster's moll with the Dutch bob hair? I missed the title and I want to find out who she was. I've never seen it on TCM before and there doesn't appear to be any information about shorts on the site or in the schedule.
