As a young boy i saw a laurel and hardy movie which i am trying to locate.I remember only scene well.Oliver(fat boy)is in bed withj a broken leg listening to a record playing on the gramophone but he has a problem. He has to get up to turn off the machine once the record is played. So he ties a string to his leg and the off switch of the gramophone.I must point out that this movie isnot a short one but full feature. Please could you identify it????

There is no such scene in any of Laurel & Hardy's regularly released Hal Roach films or in any of their features for the studios they went to after they left Roach Studios in 1940.

Perhaps the scene you're remembering could have been done by some impersonators doing a Laurel & Hardy sketch on a TV show. Or maybe one of the L & H cartoons made in the 1960's.

Or perhaps you're mixing up L & H with some other comedy team.
