gagman66
Dabb, Yes, it is Jackie Logan. I thought that onn would stump people for awhile longer. Yeah, it probably is a baby Leopard rather than a Lion.
FredCDobbs
Ok, no response for 5 hours. I think we need a clue about the bubble lady.
Kid Dabb
The 'ballon lady' - played leading lady to John Wayne in an early widescreen epic. The following year she appeared with John Wayne again, Spencer Tracy, Will Rogers, Warner Oland and George O'brien, each in their respective movies. She married the star of one of these films whose title is almost the same as a late 1960's Psychodelic-Country music band whose early members included several Grateful Dead members. The title comes from a well known writer in these early film years.
FredCDobbs
Thanks. I'm sure I've seen the balloon photo before, when I looked up her name before. But it is not a common name to remember, although everyone probably knows it.
MilesArcher
It's Marguerite Churchill, who starred with John Wayne in "The Big Trail". She married actor George O'Brien. Apparently, there were at least two photos with the bubbles. Here they are: She also did some advertising for Wrigleys gum.

FredCDobbs
This beautiful actress made only 7 films and retired from movies at the age of 20. 6 of her films were silent. She later played a couple of short bit parts in 2 other films.
FredCDobbs
Your actor with a monocle is Bela Lugosi. http://johnrozum.blogspot.com/2012/10/31-days-of-halloween-day-20.html

FredCDobbs
Ok. I think her best known film was shot as a silent, but then some music was added and it was released in a sound version, with a famous male co-star.

twinkeee
...........you are really good with eyes Thanks for the compliment, I have NO idea why that is. However, I know beans about Silent Stars..the truth is, I have NEVER seen a silent movie..and yet, the other day I recognized Buster Keeton's eyes instantly..go figure ! FredCDobbs
If I don't recognize the person in the photo, then I look for clues in the photo, and then I do a Google search using those clues. Sometimes it takes a long time to figure out just the right keywords to use.
twinkeee
....I look for clues in the photo... The only 'clue' in the photo was her smile. I find most silent stars do not smile in their photo's, so that is what I looked for....... You are VERY good at research and obviously have a great deal of patience !
