..but that's the name I came up with and it said word for word as you have it posted " In 1915 she was making over 150,000 a year." I can't remember how I found it...

You mean there '2' Italien actresses that year making over 150,000....?

Did you notice that your quote said "150,000" while Kid's quote said "170,000", and Kid's photo was the 3rd one down on the page I linked you to?

Of course, I would not have guessed the proper name if he had not give out the text clue, and that is why I never posted her name. I am a better google searcher than I am an identifier of faces. If he had just posted her eyes, you probably would have recognized her. :)

Yes, that was a typo in my answer to KD.

I did type in the correct amount in Google and you will notice the first name & pic that comes up is Pina Menichelli. That was the name I posted this morning, 5 min. after he posted the pic. Obvioustly, there must be more then one Italian actress that year who made over 170,00, either that or there is an error somewhere. :)

I was going by the girl's hair style, which was common in the mid-1930s an on up until the late 30s. That's why I started there and worked backwards. The image seemed too sharp to have been taken in the early 30s. They tended to use bigger cameras in the early 30s for still shots, which made their larger lenses blur the background a little. By the mid to late 30s I think they were generally using 4 x 5 camers for publicity stills.

The guy's uniform suggested a band, and your animal clue suggested a circus. The guy could have been in the band, the band leader, or the ringmaster, who often wore a uniform.

So, I started with "Circus Movies" with 1938 and worked backwards.
