"Gunfight" is a very good film. Gives MY DARLING CLEMENTINE a run for the money. But that John Ford masterpiece gets my trophy. One of the best of the genre. I don't know that I've ever seen a bad movie about Earp and his adventures. Even Blake Edwards' SUNSET is kind of cute.

How many movies have been made about Earp and the famous gunfight? A lot of good ones, a lot of stretching of the truth. But for pure fun/entertainment I will always vote for Burt and Kirk in Gunfight at the O K Corral. With a great supporting cast including Rhonda Fleming. What more can you want?

Well, redriver, there's good news and not-so-good news.

The good news is that Wichita is available on DVD. However it's only available from the Warner Archive Collection, so if you don't mind paying $20 for it, I guess it's no biggie.

There's also classicflix, which I think is getting a lot of WAC titles to rent by mail, but I am not sure if they would have Wichita.

Either way, good luck!
