moviegeek3000
Last year TCM showed Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Hidden Fortress, & Throne of Blood. We all need to be enlightened once again by those influential works from the master of epics: Akira Kurosawa.
jhnrndglt
And how about High and Low?
moviegeek3000
word. High and Low's never been shown on TCM either has it? See, I'ma request this one so TCM'll have a chance to air another TCM premier of a truly classic film. Anything from Kurosawa sits well with me. High & Low's little gem of a film from '63......shoot......kinda makes me feel like Riverdancin.....HA!
chrtbsh
"High and Low" was shown in 1999 at 3:30 AM as part of a Kurosawa festival we don't have it under license, but might acquire it at some point
cinemetal
Frankly, I'd like to see more obscure titles by Kurosawa. Or, and it's a long shot, some titles by Ozu, Mizoguchi, Oshima, Imamura, etc.
moviegeek3000
I'm with ya. But yes, highly unlikely
