Jake's off topic music thread...

"Hold Your Head Up" was a cool song. I have the long version from itunes. I think they were a one hit wonder though there may have been more than one album.

A song I thought had the best use of a banjo in a pop/country type song was -

(I have no idea why that popped into my head except I always thought it a good song. Lyrically I liked the short rhyming phrases.)

I don't know why, but when you said banjo, this song popped into my mind. Not as country banjo-ey as Carolina in the Pines, but.....

Good summer morning to you, Jake.... I brought something for a hot summer morn..

Have patience, or skip the first 1:30 of the clip; the recording itself is awesome!

Love this song, and when it's hot weather, I think of this one and one other.

Can you guess??

Yes, I do and I posted on another thread created by Ms Goddess a very good and complimentary clip about Bing.

This is a R&R and country thread. Suggest you go to that thread and enjoy...

>Boy, You are dark, Jake

Not at all...

The meaning of the song to me means dreaming is ok but you gotta get up in the morning and smell the coffee, too...

"America" was a fine group. They had lovely harmonies and a good sound. 'Only In Your Heart" was one of may favorites.

America was okay, but I still remember the joke about their first hit: A Horse with

No Neil.
