newclassicfilmfan
I just wanted to digress here. First time I'm seeing this thread. It is David Cassidy's birthday on April 12th. I couldn't believe he will be 61 years old. I remember him on Partridge Family. It's a darn shame he got typecast as a "teenybopper". He was much more than that. He voice was exceptional, great singing range. Aside from that, every girl swooned for him in the Partridge Family days - that hair, those eyes, that voice and of course that hair. Today, seems his looks have faded, but back then, he was mighty fine looking. I haven't seen Partridge Family in 40 years, but they show it on antenna t.v. now - and I almost swooned again at the sight of the young David Cassidy. Frank-------Ohio
Mountain - Mississippi Queen - Goose Lake Festival 1970 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r92mZ3g2tEM&feature=related In the summer of 1970, the Goose Lake International Music Festival was held in Jackson, Michigan, and attracted over 200,000 fans. Unlike Woodstock, it didn't rain and most of those folks actually paid to get in. Despite this, Goose Lake remains an obscure footnote in Midwestern rock history, the big show that hardly anyone outside Michigan has heard about.------------------I was there, anybody else go to it? JakeHolman
Hi JF, I like it. I like it. Dolly looked great and so did Tammy and can they sing or what? Got one here I think you will like. An Alabama girl. I love seafood and eatin' some oysters on the halfshell with horseradish and hot sauce and slake 'em down with a good cold beer. That's livin'. Then bring me me some Gulf fried shrimp and I'm good to go... See ya next time...and hope all is well... Jake
