I understand and I am so glad to hear things are going well. Cherish your children while you can because they will be gone before you know it...

Thanks for my off the top of my head comments about the Westerns. Westerns are so misleading because many think they are nothing more than bang bang shoot 'em ups..

Ah, so wrong...they are the most complex and the old Hollywood directors like Ford knew it...

I closed a good deal today...client is happy and I made some money

In the mood for some Yes...your friend...

And yes I love the post of Emmylou...

Like your picks JF...you know, this might surprise you, but Revolver is not even in my top 3 Beatles' albums...

Don't get me wrong, I like it but I like some others better...makes life interesting...

Here's a tune I do like from Revolver...

!. Rubber Soul...sublime...transition but yet still in the past...

2. The White Album...eclectic songs...moving on and in a new direction...

3. A Hard Day's Night...original Beatles to the core...

You take care my friend...

It's so hard to choose - but I know that for me, White Album would be there, and probably Sgt. Pepper, just because it's the first album of "grown up" music I ever heard. My choices are wrapped up in what those albums meant to me "in my life". It would be easier if I could just pick Beatles Red or Beatles Blue! More songs on those!

I have a real love for Please Please Me. Then there's Abbey Road.

I think this is how I would order it, subject to change even as I speak:

1. A Hard Day's Night

2. White Album

3. Sgt Pepper

4. Please Please Me

5. Rubber Soul

6. Abbey Road

7. Revolver

Watching that clip from *A Hard Day's Night* made me wonder if they would have been nearly as iconic without the movie - It really captured something fun and exciting and timeless in the boys - look at how they are filmed, sometimes from up underneath, like they are something grand and beautiful to look at - the camera just loves them, and is very respectful of the music..... Obviously the director was a fan, the film takes it's cues from it. They make fun of everything, even the boys themselves, but never of the music.

Good morning MW:

You know, for me, The Beatles are the greatest rock and roll band of all time and will always be so.

However, there are many who would say not so fast...The Stones are the greatest.

I really like The Stones early stuff --especially their songs in the sixties. Most of their latter songs leave me a little flat...

Have a pleasant weekend.

Wrapping up my Stones' clips, for awhile...

I never paid much attention to them after Exile on Main Street (from which comes the song

Sweet Virginia, so you must like that album a bit.)

I agree, I like their earlier stuff better, on the whole. My friends and I, as young kids, used to get into heated debates as to who was better, the Stones or the Beatles. At the time I always argued on the side of the Stones, but now I 'm more inclined to the Beatles. They're both great, and actually so different from each other that it's like comparing dogs and cats. :)

Hi JF,

So do I...They are one of my very favorite bands and I listen to their music often.

Ray Davies was a prodigious songwriter--really a genuis...

Hope you had a nice and pleasant weekend.
