gwtwbooklover
A saw a commercial for this movie which says it is a movie based on Cole Porter. I believe Kevin Kline will play Porter. I only saw the commercial once but I saw the costumes they look real pretty. Also some singers of today are in it like Alannis Morisette and I'm assuming she'll be singing a Porter song wonder how that will sound?
richardny4me
The CD soundtrack came out last week. It is a bit uneven, but I liked Alanis Morrisette most of all. She sings "Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love" and she includes more verses than I have ever heard of the song. She does a great job singing it. Diana Krall and Natalie Cole do very well also. On another board in which I post (Datalounge.com) a bunch of people have already seen previews of the film and really loathed it, but they usually hate everything on Datalounge.com. Anyway, I am really eager to see the film next week. In preparation, I guess, I started watching the DVD of NIGHT AND DAY yesterday, and I have to say I found it tough going. I will watch the rest this week, but it is not one of Warner Brothers' or Cary Grant's best films.
edgeciff
The only thing worthwhile about the Grant film is the Porter music performed by the ladies Ginny Simms, Jane Wyman, Mary Martin and Eve Arden.
