The great actor Brian Murray has died aged 80. I had the pleasure to know him and to work with him a few times. He was as kind and sweet a man as he was a great actor.

Although he appeared in several films and on television, I believe his heart was in the theater. He was as much at home in contemporary theater as he was in Chekhov and Shakespeare.

Brian Murray, Marian Seldes, David Burtka and Kathleen Early were memorable in Edward Albee's "The Play About The Baby" -

Brian, Marian, and Edward were very close. I knew and worked with them all and miss them very much.
