MovieMadness
John McCain ran his presidential campaign like Mr. Magoo, it's funny how so many Democrats now have nice things to say after he's gone. They always ran up to him asking for his opinion on fellow Republicans, as they wanted soundbites showing how he disagreed, and he willingly fell for their questions.

John McCain was wise enough to know that political extremists, and be they on the Right OR the Left, were and are incapable of not only seeing the political realities of life, but also are incapable of using that now seeming lost intangible called "common sense" as to their "fixes" they deem to be done. (...oh, and he usually ALSO had the freakin' GUTS to tell the members of his OWN party who FIT the profile of those I've just categorized, that their often closed-minded stances on the issues were off-freakin'-base TOO...and THAT of course is what always stuck in YOUR craw about the HONORABLE John McCain, you ****** Ultra-Rightie, you!!!)
MovieMadness
John McCain was Mr. Magoo. Sorry Dargo, end of story. He was bitter he lost and Trump won. He was also as much a Republican as you are, which means zero. 1
NipkowDisc
I remember how mister straight talk express mccain reacted when george w. bush beat him out for the gop nomination in 2000. he complained that the bush campaign had run against him unfairly.

NipkowDisc
I remember back in late 2008 there was alotta controversy over some budget related issue and the msm was trying to get the position of the candidates on it... Obama took no position and resorted to neutrality while stupe McCain said he was for it (even though it was not popular with gop voters) I remember seeing james Carville on one of the cable news channels and he said McCain's position was tantamount to shooting himself politically in the foot. he said that McCain had in effect just blown his own candidacy and the election was over. NipkowDisc
yeah, now I remember. it was some sort of a bail-out and the gop voters were against it but not McCain... stupe McCain really lost before he lost. it was bad enough that he started siding with democrats like Lieberman and weakening his own party's position but he even was not above siding against the voters he intended to 'straight talk' into supporting him. NipkowDisc
you doan marry into wealth, own 7 homes and then try to tell people you're right and they're wrong. no wonder the msm is crying such crocodile tears over his passing. they're trying to fool people with such a phony display of bipartisan admiration. it's a complete crock. if McCain had lived long enough to vote to confirm Kavanaugh (I'm giving him that) and he kicked off the day afterwards you woulda seen a very different reaction from the msm I think. McCain showed us how to lose." there it is! right there! the GOP establishment disconnect. they doan get it. the GOP voter is tired of losing by watered down rino selloutism and that's where a winning Donny Trump comes in. the GOP voter understands that a democrat party in power will give no quarter and that's why schtootzes like graham are through. they WOULD give away the baby with the bathtub and the GOP voters will not have it anymore. mr6666
McCain's choice of Russian dissident as pallbearer is final dig at Putin, Trump ........The Republican senator from Arizona, who planned his own funeral, chose Russian dissident Vladimir Kara-Murza as one of the dignitaries to carry his coffin to the front of the Washington National Cathedral at Saturday’s memorial service. The funeral cortege, or procession, is often one of the most-watched parts of any televised memorial service, and McCain appears to have chosen his pallbearers with that in mind. He picked some, such as former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden and former Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), to represent his time as an Arizona congressman, senator and presidential contender. Others, such as former Defense Secretary William Cohen, honor his service as a naval aviator and prisoner of war, and some are friends, such as the actor Warren Beatty..... The choice of Kara-Murza, who says he has been poisoned twice, appears aimed at sending a last message to Putin and Trump, whom McCain had criticized for sounding too cozy with the Russian leader, amid an investigation into whether the U.S. president’s allies cooperated with Moscow’s efforts to intervene in the 2016 election. For more than seven years, McCain and Kara-Murza had each other’s backs as each criticized Putin and what they saw as his autocratic tendencies in Russia..... https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/28/john-mccain-pallbearer-russia-799061
