jakeem
Good news for fans of Costa-Gavras, the Greek-born French director known for his films about political controversies. He was said to have died at the age of 85. But it has been determined that a report of his passing was an apparent hoax. The Associated Press withdrew a Thursday report that Greece's culture minister had announced the Oscar-winning filmmaker's death. The report apparently was based on a tweet from "a fake account," The AP said. "Gavras is alive and spoke on Greek state television Thursday," the wire service said in a follow-up report. The estimable filmmaker, who was born in Greece as Konstantinos Gavras on February 12, 1933, moved to France at the age of 21. Among his best-known films were the political thrillers "Z" (1969) and "Missing" (1982), both of which received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture. In addition, "Z" received the Oscar for Best Foreign-Language Film of 1969. Costa-Gavras

He didn't do that so I knew he was still alive.
Dargo
Hmmm...this sort'a thing kind'a makes ya wonder if Costa-Gavras might be distantly related to Abe Vigoda, doesn't it?! (...and so maybe this "the news of my death has been greatly exaggerated" sort'a thing just runs in some families?!)

And so, any suggestions as to who we can use in this regard now days? (...well, besides Pauly Shore of course, and whose career has pretty much been dead for years now, ya know)
