spence
here is a docu/feature from yrs ago titled "4 CLOWNS" But I can't right now who the #4th was, unless it was HARRY LANGDON? ANYHOW, POLEASE CAST YOUR OWN PERSONAL VOTE ON WHO WAS THE ULTIMATE "KING OF SILENT COMEDY?" Plus he had the guts to stay silent until 1940. MY OWN VOTE OF COURSE IS & HAS LONG BEEN *CHARLES (Spencer) CHAPOLIN-(l889-l977) BUT BARELY OVER POOR BUSTER KERATON-(l895-l966) ALL TALK ABOUT "THE GENIUS" OF *ORSON WELLES, in starring, producing, writing & directing his films, *CHARLIE did him one better, composing his own scoring! BUT TRUTH BE TOLD THESE GUYS WERE INCREDIBLE ATHLETES, ESPECIALLY KEATON! (TRIVIA: on Reelz tv show with MALTIN & ANOITHER LADY, A FAN OR SOMEOINE ASKED EACH POERSONS ALL-TIUME GREAEST CHASE SEQUENCE & LEONARD WITHOUT PAUSE CHOSE BUSTER'S "SEVEN CHANCES" (l924) I AGREE 100% SEE, QUESTION WAS NOT ONLY ABOUT CAR CHASES SEE)
Polly of the Precodes
The fourth probably was Langdon. But I vote Max Linder.
