Incidentally, for those who don't know anything about Yanka (which would be about 99.9% of the human race), her first name is from a European word for "Ann" ... but "Ann Mann" wouldn't work too well onscreen. Mann was very good friends with Veronica Lake. The pair met in 1965 while doing a stage version of "Goodbye, Charlie" in Florida. Lake even moved in with Mann and her husband at one point. Lake and Mann built a home in the backyard for stray cats (which makes them tops in my book). At one point, they had over 40 strays. According to Mann, Lake enjoyed watching her films on tv, her favorite being I Married A Witch. Her favorite co-stars were Joel McCrea and Alan Ladd.
sagebrush
Anyone watch SOMETIMES AUNT MARTHA DOES DREADFUL THINGS? I found myself alternately laughing and shaking my head. Bits of it looked more like it was shot as a school PSA 😄. I think if I had gone to a theater to see this one, I would have either fallen asleep or walked out. It was a nice change from the 80's nightclub-style of Undergrounds we had in the past 6 months, though.
jameselliot
I thought it was repulsive. Not a good Underground programming choice. Florida exploitation regulars Thomas Kerwin and Brad Grinter have small roles as cops and Kerwin's brother Harry was the production manager. What was a Sunshine State trash flick without them? Wayne Crawford went on to bigger things in the 1980s.
Solafide
Watching Strait-Jacket now on TCM. This movie is pure gold. I can't believe how good of a psycho-thriller this movie really is. Joan Crawford is absolutely fantastic in this one. Really nails the role. Great William Castle movie.

LawrenceA
Updated through October. Note that October also features Godzilla movies every Friday evening, so it's like extra TCM Underground programming! 1
IchbinIan
Just logged in to see why Underground isn't on tonight...they've put it on hiatus for "Summer Under the Stars" ☹️ Oh well. Looks like some good stuff is coming up though. "Eating Raoul", Nobuhiko Obayashi's "House" and "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" are three of my favs. "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" is on the Friday before Halloween too 😊
LawrenceA
Updated with November's schedule. A lot of interesting choices that haven't been shown much if ever. The last TCM Underground selection for the month is still to be announced.
LawrenceA
Updated through December. That's a full year of TCM Underground madness, and I enjoyed compiling them all for future reference. I won't be doing this for next year's offerings, so anyone else interested in doing so please feel free to undertake it.

House '77 was cool, but I showed it to my teenager who was scarred for life. Any of you MST fans, the Town That Dreaded Sundown is by the same "rare male ****" guy who did Boggy Creek. Same schlock style fun.
LawrenceA
The previously announced showing of Burn, Witch, Burn (1962) scheduled for last night was replaced by Witchboard (1986). I corrected the OP above.
