TomJH
They both turned 102 this year. Luise Rainer, at 104, is the only one I think was older. In turn, is Douglas not already the oldest actor? Anyone else?
Swithin
Norman Lloyd turned 104 on November 8, 2018. Norman Lloyd in The Green Years (1946) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Lloyd 1
LsDoorMat
As far as stars go, yes they probably are the oldest or verging on it. As far as people involved in American film? Doris Eaton, who had a few small roles and cameos in the early sound era, lived to be 106. She could still demonstrate her dancing style past age 100. Frederica Sagor Maas, a screenwriter in both the silent and sound eras, lived to be 111 (1900 - 2012).

And whereas I once knew a guy who had NO chin dimple, but after HIS helicopter crash he ended up having one. sagebrush
Patricia Morison, who passed away in May of this year, was 103.
midwestan
Marsha Hunt turned 101 a couple of months ago, so she'd be in the running for second runnerup? Her first screen role was in 1935 according to IMDB. Her last role was 10 years ago in a TV movie.

Sukhov
Danielle Darrieux passed away last year and she was 100. For a while I thought she would outlive Kirk Douglas.
Dargo
Have to say, and while many of the other named actors and actresses mentioned in this thread are of course indeed worthy of mention for their talents and longevity, when it comes to the idea of those who are or were considered "A-list" stars during decades-long careers, and such as Kirk and Olivia had, I can not think of any other "stars" of their magnitude who ever made it to being centenarians. (...and I might be wrong here, but I have a feeling that this was actually Tom's intent when he started this thread)

As far as the biggies are concerned, though, it appears that Luise Rainer, at 104, currently has the record as the oldest major film star, with Kirk and Olivia two years away from tying her. Back in 2003 when Bob Hope died at 100 I guess he had the record at the time.

Hope died at the age of 100 years, 59 days, just barely pushing past George Burns by 10 days (Burns died at the age of 100 years, 49 days in 1996)
Arsan404
Not an A-list star, but Lupita Tovar was 106 when she died in 2016.
