unit91
When George Cohan exits the recruiting office a band is playing a patriotic type song. What is its name? Also, what is the song Frances Langford is singing about George Washington in the movie This Is The Army? Sukhov
The song is called "You're in the Army Now." It was a famous patriotic war song used in WWI and WWII. "You're in the army now/ not behind a plow, etc." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You're_in_the_Army_Now_(song) It's at the beginning of this scene in Yankee Doodle. Here is the full song on YouTube.
