Terrence1
This is a variation of a game I recall from a while ago. The first person names an actor who has died in at least one movie. The second person names a movie that fits the category. Then the second person provides the name of another actor. I'll start with: Barbara Stanwyck. She doesn't die in any of her films. Unless I'm missing something. She died in real life while making SARATOGA, but her character did not die in the film. She died in The Beast of the City when she gets shot during the big shootout at the end of the movie. The thread is yours, Arsan.

Terrence1
Arturo, you seem to have stumped all of us with this one. Perhaps you could provide us with another name?
Arturo
I was thinking of her death as Ann Todd in YOUNG MR. LINCOLN, recently shown on TCM. Substitute: Cornel Wilde
Terrence1
Arturo, I don't ever remember Cornel Wilde in a death scene. Can you give us a slight hint?
Arturo
I can think of at least 2 films in which Cornel Wilde dies. One was a noirish film, the other a western.
Arturo
Both Cornel Wilde films were released in the 1950s.
Arturo
Ok, I guess I stumped people here. The two films I'm aware of in which Cornel Wilde died were the following: The western is TWO FLAGS WEST (1950). He is killed during Indian attack in the fort where he's stationed. It also starred Linda Darnell, Jeff Chandler and Joseph Cotton. The film noir is STORM FEAR (1955). He is murdered here by Dennis Weaver, the hired hand of his brother's wife, whom they both loved. Wilde directed this film, which also starred his then-wife Jean Wallace, Dan Duryea, and Lee Grant. Let's try Don Ameche next.

Terrence1
Arturo, I've only seen very few of his movies, so I'm at a loss on this one.
Arturo
Hint: Don Ameche died in an epic he was in, as well as in at least one biography. Another film has his life recounted when he has died.
