George Conway's anti-trump Lincoln Project

Recommended Posts

The Lincoln Project is contributing money/ads for Jamie Harrison, Lindsay Graham's opponent in S.C.  I don't think it will work, but it will probably make it a tighter race.

One aspect is would S.C. voters really want two black US Senators?  Has any state ever had two black senators at the same time?  Not trying to sound racist, but it may be the deciding factor for some voters.

Although I wonder if that money would not be better spent in a state where a Dem victory is more possible.

I think that with Lincoln it is a bit personal and they are really going all out to make life miserable for Trump's biggest enablers.  They are Republicans who feel aggrieved after all and are following their own strategy.

You know what they always say--

Your enemies can attack you.

But your friends who turn against you are really more dangerous because they know where your most vulnerable and indefensible spots are.

Democrats did not vote for Bernie.  Get over it.

What is your point?  That Biden is worse than Trump when it comes to the swamp and corporate greed?  He has already said that he is going to roll back the tax breaks Donald Trump has given to billionaires.  That should make you a little bit happy.  But no.  You are just a right wing Trump supporter in disguise who enjoys sewing discord.

We got this kind of b******* from some people on this website 4 years ago about Hillary Clinton.

And look where it's put us today.

I don't know if people who spew this kind of crap are right wing or not. But they have helped to create the calamitous situation we're in today.

It's just like 55 years ago when the neoconservatives changed parties and grafted into the the Republican party. Now they are coming home with welcome arms because people like you hate Trump.

Breaking News: There is no left wing party in the Untied States.  There is the Democratic Party in the middle right and the Republican Party in the far right.

You have never, not once criticized the Republican Party or Trump for anything.  And they are the ones in power.

Among their intellectual ancestors neoconservatives count the ancient Greek historian Thucydides for his unblinking realism in military matters and his skepticism toward democracy, as well as Alexis de Tocqueville, the French author of Democracy in America (1835–40), who described and analyzed both the bright and the bad sides of democracy in the United States. More recent influences include the German-born American political philosopher Leo Strauss and several of his students, such as Allan Bloom; Bloom’s student Francis Fukuyama; and a small band of intellectuals who in their youth were anti-Stalinist communists (specifically Trotskyites) before becoming liberals disillusioned with liberalism. The latter include Irving Kristol, Nathan Glazer, and Norman Podhoretz, among others.

Neoconservatism arose in the United States in the 1970s among intellectuals who shared a dislike of communism and a disdain for the counterculture of the 1960s, especially its political radicalism and its animus against authority, custom, and tradition.
