Adam Schiff isn't qualified. This have been vetted here in CA for many years. There is a reason he is only a member of the House, that Harris ran as CA AG and won and that Schiff wasn't even considered as one of the top candidates for the office, over and over again. In addition it is my understanding most Americans wish to "re-set" after Trump is defeated. I.e. they wish to move FORWARD. We don't need a super political AG that will go after the GOP and conservatives except when really warranted. I.e. like the kind of DOJ we currently have. Defeating the GOP in November is our revenge. If we are grown-ups that should be enough.
mr6666
Biden assembling White House transition team ...........The former vice president did not give any indications about who was on the transition team or whom he’s considering for top-level roles within his potential administration. However, Biden said that he’s considering elevating several White House offices to Cabinet-level positions, singling out the Office of Science and Technology Policy, a global health security pandemic office and a potential climate change-focused role that “goes beyond the EPA.” The former vice president said he might announce some of his Cabinet level picks before the election, and that he would take the advice given to him by former President Obama to surround himself with people who “know more than you know.” Biden also said he would consider Republicans for some top level positions within his administration. .......... https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/493276-biden-assembling-white-house-transition-team

Another expansion of the government. The agencies already exist and elevating them will result in an expansion of the bureaucracy. Each will have to have its own building, many high paid bureaucrats with staffs to support the new secretary and so forth.

jamesjazzguitar
The L.A. Times has an article today: Latinos' support for Biden may be fading. It was very hopeful. It wasn't so much that Latinos would favor Trump over Biden but just that they wouldn't get out and vote. E.g. the percentage that said they would be out and vote dropped from 73% in February to 60% recently. The author sites lack of media coverage on Biden and instead mostly C-19, but that doesn't really explain such a large drop. Of course Trump is getting tons of media coverage and sadly it appears Latinos are easily fooled, when compared to other parts of the Dem base: Nearly half, 47% said they believed Trump was putting out clear and helpful information on the virus and 45% approved of his handling of the crisis. (of course this poll was taken before the latest Trump lies and misinformation, but still, as we have been saying only a bozo would believe Trump was truthful and doing a good job). Almost 3\4 of Latinos polled also indicated that they would be more likely to turn out and vote if the V.P. was a Latina. Biden could lose if Latinos don't wake up. For the first time, in 2020 they will be the largest minority block of voters.
mr6666
As Poll Shows Nearly 90% Democratic Support, Biden Told Hostility to Medicare for All 'No Longer Tenable Position for You' "Hey, Joe Biden, as a Democrat running for president in a pandemic, this looks like a popular idea." ............the Hill-HarrisX survey released Friday showed overall voter support for Medicare for All 69 percent but that number soared to 88 percent for registered Democrats. Among independents, voters likely to be crucial in the 2020 general election, support now sits at 68 percent while even among Republicans sits at 46 percent. Speaking to Hill.TV on the findings, Felicia Wong, president and CEO of the left-leaning Roosevelt Institute, said that the coronavirus has opened people's eyes even further to the need for a universal, single-payer healthcare system like Medicare for All. "These progressive policies have been popular for a long time," Wong said. "I think COVID-19 will make them more popular as it becomes clear just how fragile our American political economy really is."........ https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/04/25/poll-shows-nearly-90-democratic-support-biden-told-hostility-medicare-all-no-longer
