Biden and Obama troll Trump in video that marks a new pandemic campaign tactic

July 22, 2020 at 11:44 a.m. EDT

The video camera captures former president Barack Obama emerging from a black SUV in the garage of an office building and making his way upstairs via an elevator, where he is seen trailing Joe Biden down a hallway.

The two sit in distant leather chairs in an expansive office and talk — trash talk, actually — about Obama’s successor and the man Biden hopes to unseat in November. They express disbelief about how President Trump has handled the public health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and tried to avoid blame for his government’s failure to contain it.

“Can you imagine standing up when you were president and saying ‘it’s not my responsibility. I take no responsibility.’ Literally. Literally,” Biden says. Obama’s response: “Those words didn’t come out of our mouths when we were in office.”

Joe Biden's advantage over Trump with Black voters is currently smaller than Hillary Clinton's was

(CNN)The death of George Floyd and subsequent protests reshaped the presidential race. It brought race relations, racism and police brutality to the forefront.

In that time, former Vice President Joe Biden's advantage over President Donald Trump expanded from about six points to closer to 10 points.
Interestingly, however, Trump continues to do something perhaps unexpectedly among Black voters: Hold his own against Biden relative to many people's expectations.
There have been over 10 national live interview polls since the protests began for which I could assess Black voter sentiment in the presidential race. Altogether, we're looking at well more than 1,000 interviews.
Biden leads in those polls by an 83% to 8%, or 75-point, margin. That, of course, is a huge advantage for Biden, but it also represents a small improvement for Trump since 2016.
Hillary Clinton was ahead of Trump by a 79-point margin among Black registered voters in the pre-election polls taken right before the 2016 election, as compiled by the New York Times' Nate Cohn. Biden, for what it's worth, is equaling Clinton's 83% in those polls. Trump's picking up a lot of the vote that went to third-party candidates.

Biden Leading Trump Among Voters Who Favor Being Alive

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—With fewer than a hundred days until the election, Donald J. Trump is trailing Joe Biden badly among voters who describe themselves as in favor of being alive.

The poll, which was conducted by the University of Minnesota, shows Biden beating Trump by a whopping thirty-one per cent among voters who call continuing to exist the issue that is most important to them.

In several swing states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Biden has wiped out Trump’s lead by racking up huge margins among the rather-not-die-right-now demographic.

“Trump needs to do something dramatic to show voters that he, too, is in favor of them staying alive,” Davis Logsdon, who supervised the poll, said. “I’m not sure that shooting rubber bullets and tear gas at them sends that message.”

Trump’s new campaign manager, Bill Stepien, accused the media of focussing too much attention on the opinions of voters who wish to continue to breathe because of the press’s own “anti-dying bias.”

“This campaign is working overtime to identify voters who are not in favor of being alive and make sure they know that President Trump is on their side,” he said.

The Biden campaign's communications director, Kate Bedingfield, says Biden would put a premium on "transparent, open" communication with the press, which would likely include a return to daily press briefings.

It'll take a lot of hard work to get the presidency and the country back to where we were when President Obama left the Oval Office.

But the first step should definitely be a resurrection of and a respect for the First Amendment in the presidency.

The American people want to know if there's any hope for the future of the United States.

The American people want to know what can be done to save the country-- to save democracy and to save more American lives.

And the American  people are desperate for a president,

a national leader who is going to take the reins on day one and start to go in the positive direction of survival for the country.

so much for kamala.

Biden knows enough of the incident, as do the majority of non-racist Americans of all stripes, to know this was another demonstration that black lives do not matter to many individual rogue cops, as well as some whole police departments.  Only racists like yourself, who don’t think that black lives matter, would think that this statement is pandering.

Biden:
"The deadly violence we saw overnight in Portland is unacceptable. Shooting in the streets of a great American city is unacceptable.

I condemn this violence unequivocally. I condemn violence of every kind by anyone .

.. And I challenge Donald Trump to do the same."

Looks like the FBI has identified 3 Trump supporter groups as the culprits as far as "rioting."

Replying to

"Protesting (police) brutality is right & necessary. It’s an utterly American response. But burning down communities and needless destruction is not. Violence that endangers lives is not. Violence that guts and shutters businesses is not.” -- Joe Biden, May 31

trump's trying to make Joe Biden into an extreme left-wing radical.

This is totally ridiculous and a waste of time.

And it makes about as much sense as trump trying to make himself into Leo DiCaprio.
