10 Actresses From My Favorite Films

Recommended Posts

I was going over my lists of my favorite films and I noticed that most were "guy" movies with male leads though some of those had great actresses in good roles. Below are 10 actresses which are not necessarily my favorite ones (though some are) but appeared in my favorite films. I included my favorite film in which they appeared. Does anyone have a list like this, or what are your favorite films by these actresses?

1. Teresa Wright - Shadow Of A Doubt

2. Eleanor Parker- Detective Story

3. Deborah Kerr-From Here To Eternity

4. Eva Marie Saint-On The Waterfront

5. Maureen O'Hara-Miracle On 34th Street

6. Shelley Winters-Night Of The Hunter

7. Mia Farrow-Rosemary's Baby

8. Natalie Wood-West Side Story

9. Bette Davis-What Ever Happened To Baby Jane

10. Doris Day-Lover Come Back

My favorite Doris film is Move Over, Darling and I may be alone in that choice. I love her in that green suit outfit. The recognition scene was pretty well done. And I liked Polly too.  Doris is more appreciated with Rock but less so by me. My second favorite film is another one with James Garner The Thrill of it All which, curiously, in not mentioned in her filmography on IMDB. Great TV commercial she did in that one.
