HomokHarcos
I’ve been to classic film screenings in Michigan and Canada and have enjoyed the experiences. However, I was wondering if there are any theaters in North America that play a classic film plus a newsreel and short before the film?
Tikisoo
The Syracuse Cinephile Society does, but we don't gather in a real theater. Last night we showed Fox's Jesse James feature and the cartoon short was a Tex Avery Droopy western. A real "warm up" for the feature. The Capitol Theater in Rome NY often shows "shorts" before the feature, sometimes vintage trailers for upcoming movies. (35mm trailers often provided by a member here)
hamradio
Before closing my local theatre showed local ads (ITP - Interstate Theatre Promotions), a cartoon - mostly Woody Woodpecker or the 3 Stooges. Showed "Gone with The Wind" in 1985.
