This has become the most viewed and talked about miniseries on institutionalized racism since "Roots".

The internet is all abuzz with comments about it, including people filming their own reactions to it.

For those who have seen it oh, they can give their comments.

On the internet there are a number of people saying that they don't have the stomach to watch it, but appreciate reading other people's reactions.

I started this thread on Off Topic because of the involvement of the current president in this whole affair from the get-go, which now makes it undeniably a political issue.

He wanted to see these 14 year old boys executed.

He still refuses to believe their innocence.

He believes they didn't deserve restitution.

If the police had done their job, a second woman would not have been raped-- and she was murdered.

Holy **** -- years after DNA evidence exonerated them, Trump suggests the Central Park 5 are guilty and refuses to apologize for saying they should be executed.

"You have people on both sides of that. They admitted their guilt."

This guy is so predictable.

Why does This remind me of there were good neo-nazis in Charlottesville?

The Central Park 5/birther never disappoints.

WATCH: President Trump declines to apologize to the exonerated Central Park Five,

and asserts that “you have people on both sides” of their exoneration.

The case has received renewed attention in light of Ava DuVernay’s ‘When They See Us’. https://nbcnews.to/2KoOUV2

- the Central Park 5, were exonerated by DNA evidence and a confession from the true perpetrator in 2002,

The birther will always be the birther and the birther paid $85,000 for the execution ad against 14 year old boys.

Sen. Kamala Harris Why Trump — and all Americans — must watch Ava DuVernay's Central Park trial series

The criminal justice system failed Korey, Raymond, Antron, Kevin and Yusef.
We owe it to all of our children to not repeat the injustices of our past.

By Golly, Mr. Nip, why is it NOT surprising you find the subject so darned funny.... <_<

---------------------------------------------

".....The series chronicles their unjust detainment, illegal interrogation and the dismissal of evidence that pointed to their innocence, further highlighting the flaws in a system that is supposed to be rooted in truth and justice.

Systemic biases and racism cost these boys their childhood.

Sensationalized media coverage — including a 1989 full-page ad placed by Trump — made it almost impossible for them to be treated fairly.

And the trial also exposed the dehumanization of Black children and life-threatening consequences — things that still occur today.......

He still denies their innocence, the way he denies that the neo-nazis at Charlottesville were responsible for the hate-filled riot.

How Ava DuVernay's #WhenTheySeeUs gets beyond guilty or innocent, explained by @zunguzungu"The more you learn about them, the clearer it becomes that being convicted and defamed was the only thing they ever really had in common; they lived separate lives before, during, and after the events of April 19, 1989." https://bit.ly/2XmVjWF
