"Yes we can can!" said Little Nicola.

CBogle: I had no idea that

his uniform was made by Nudie. He must have had great self control to

produce something that was so plain and unadorned.

Yeah, my sentiments exactly. There is no mention in the book about Nudie about this costuming gig.

I did spend a lot of time looking at it through the glass case, and the double seaming & details were extraordinary. But then again, wouldn't it be by ANY professional tailor?

I bet the best thing about it was the flattering "fit".

They also had Barney's salt & pepper suit.

Thanks, Miss. This is one of Costello's best, but undeservedly obscure songs. From "This Year's Model". It's a shame that the only youtube of the studio version has a video that has absolutely nothing to do with Costello or the song.

Yes, Elvis Costello wrote a lot of songs that were more or less "anthemic" of "New Wave" music, and The Beat was certainly one of them. Good song then, still good now.

Another "yearning" song, this one from Robyn Hitchcock and the Soft Boys. This is so pretty. Ignore the very un-pretty album cover that's the only visual throughout the song. Anyone who's ever, even once, wished they could be twenty-three again, will connect with this tune. Incidentally, I had a very hard time finding it on the internet.

"La Cheritie" :

It could be one of those Hollywood legends whose truth is doubtful, but

since Andy vouched for it, I'm guessing Nudie did make it. Maybe it was

comfortable for casual wear since Sheriff Andy rarely wore a tie. Barney

really wore that salt and pepper suit out, except for the episode where

the bully threatened to beat him up if he ever saw him out of uniform.

The Chambers Brothers playing Time Has Come Today. They were more than

one-hit wonders, but OTOH they did have only one hit, but it was a really good one.

There were three 45 single edits of the song, this is the one I think I remember.

The album version clocked in at just over eleven minutes.

If it has, I don't recall hearing it. That is a great lyric--my soul has been

psychedelicized. Yeah.

I think he may have. And now that I think of it, I remember hearing it in other

speeches too.

"The American people need to know whether or not their president has been

psychedelicized. I have not been psychedelicized."

"Ask not what your country can do to psychedelicize you, ask what you can

do to psychedelicize your country."

" Mr. Gorbachev, psychedelicize that wall."

"The only thing we have to fear is psychedelicization itself."

"A house psychedelicized against itself cannot stand."

Back in the day, yes, but rarely.

Agnew referred to young people as nattering nabobs of psychedelization.......and also, the famous quote, "We have psychedelicized the enemy, and they are ours."

I hope you got out before the introduction of Goody Goody Gumdrops,

which was such a total disaster that it turned the 1910 Fruitgum Company's

shares into penny stock.
