sineast
King Crimson was an English prog rock band, a contemporary of Yes and Genesis, though they never became as popular. Their debut album is one of the best albums of the genre. The first video is the audio recording of a live performance of the song Epitaph by the original group in 1969, with some Dali paintings as visual aids. The second is a regular live video of the same song featuring two members of the original group and a new lead singer. Both are good renditions of a fine song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN2oaBPhvOM&feature=related fmt=18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfFWE8vIBCA fmt=
sineast
The Bodysnatchers were a part of the 2 Tone ska revival in England during the late 1970s and early 1980s. They weren't together very long and never recorded an album, but did put out some good singles, including Let's Do Rock Steady. fmt=
sineast
Tried a number of times to post Ringo doing Act Naturally with the Beatles, but it's never worked. sineast
Take a trip in the wayback machine with English metal merchants Deep Purple. Besides having great riffs, the purple mens' lyrics were usually a notch or two above the usual "Let me rock you all night baby" stuff. HollywoodGolightly
"Wild World" is probably my favorite Cat Stevens song, yet for some odd reason, I'd never seen that video. Thanks for posting!
sineast
You're welcome, Holly. Of all those early 1970s singer/songwriters, Cat Stevens is my favorite. I tried to post Longer Boats a while back, but it didn't go through. Have to try it again in the future. And now he has that nice little ditty for T Mobile. You go, Yusef. sineast
Winston Rodney, aka Burning Spear, was one of the reggae artists who became popular in the mid 1970s. He emphasized social and political concerns in his music, in line with his Rastafarianism. sineast
Technical difficulties, please stand by, just like the good old days .I got the malformed video ID message, went back and double checked the video numbers and they were exactly what I had. What a piece of internet junk. But the old pros did come through, U2 with With or Without You. When it comes to YT, I wish it could be without.
