  1. The Mueller Memos

The Mueller Report’s Secret Memos

BuzzFeed News sued the US government to see all the work that Mueller’s team kept secret.

We have published the first installment, with revelations about the Ukraine conspiracy theory, Michael Cohen, Paul Manafort, and more.

..... The documents revealed Saturday, known as “302 reports,” are summaries of interviews with former White House official and Trump campaign manager Stephen Bannon, Cohen, Gates, and more. They are some of the most important and highly sought-after documents from Mueller’s investigation. They reveal what key players in the campaign told FBI agents about Russia, Trump, the email hack during the 2016 presidential campaign, and Trump associates’ handling of the special counsel’s investigation. .........

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/jasonleopold/mueller-report-secret-memos-1

Bannon to Kushner talking about Paul Manafort three days before the 2016 election:

“they are going to try and say the Russians worked with wiki leaks to give this victory to us... can’t let word get out he is advising us.”

16/ Every time the Ukraine scandal is falsely disassociated from the Russia scandal because U.S. media thinks its viewers are bored of Russia—or think, "that's so *last* election!"
—is a *major* victory for Trump.

And that's why he keeps lying, saying this is "all about one call.".........

20/ What's amazing is that Donald Trump has now constructed a *totally baseless* international war on U.S. intelligence
at a time when U.S. intelligence is the *only* outfit that could bring him down by revealing the tru—

—oh, no, wait... that totally makes sense, then. Got it.

-Not one phone call, folks.

A months-long conspiracy to twist our whole foreign policy apparatus into a personal weapon

to shake down a vulnerable ally to benefit Trump’s re-election

and give aid and comfort to our adversary Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, endangering US security.

This is pathetic. Fine them and jail them!

Otherwise you confirm that there are no consequences for obstructing justice.

The Trump team doesn't care about getting caught -- they like it. They flaunt their criminal impunity.
They care about being *punished*.

Learn the difference!

Apparently this "arrangement" to get dirt on the Bidens was going on with the former Ukranian President.  They had to renew the "arrangement" with the new President.

1/ Update: has announced that it "will broadcast next week’s impeachment hearings live, and they also will be replayed in primetime on World, the digital channel that is carried on 157 public stations that reach about 2/3 of U.S. households." ...

2/ Our friends at @PBsare saying they will not carry the #hearings in prime time—period.

Instead, they will throw them in the river & viewers can dive for it, because that’s what the WORLD digital channel (@worldchannel) is,

a place where important programs are sent to die ...

3/ Raise your hand if you have ever found a show on

How in the world—no pun intended—does it serve democracy
to hide the hearings from people who come home from work to see them but don’t have cable, satellite, and internet access? ...

4/ If

were truly an alternative to corporate networks, it would repeat the #ImpeachmentHearings in prime time for the mass audience.

Period.

If PBS repeated the impeachment hearings in prime time, they would have a .01% share of the audience.  Hearings are long and boring.  PBS has enough problems keeping itself going as it is.  It would also pi$$ off a lot of people, such as me, by preempting programs for long, boring, confusing, politicized hearings.

Laura Cooper's testimony reveals how Trump froze Congressionally-approved aid to Ukraine.

Cooper raised concerns about this hold, as did others.

She also told us how Volker implied the hold might be resolved if the Ukrainians issued a statement.

Democrats sharpen their message (bribery/extortion)

on impeachment-

"...... As part of that outreach effort, many well-placed Democrats are dropping the opaque Latin phrase that has dominated the seven-week impeachment investigation — “quid pro quo”

— and embracing distinct legal terms like “extortion” and “bribery” that are explicit in their reference to criminality and easier for the public to digest.  ....

Democrats have “evidence of an extortion scheme using taxpayer dollars to ask a foreign government to investigate the president’s opponent.”

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), a third Intelligence member, argued that Trump withholding aid while demanding Ukraine carry out the investigations amounts to “a very strong case of bribery.”

“And the Constitution is very clear: treason, bribery or acts of omission. In this case, it’s clearly one of those,”...

........"The president was engaged in an extortion in the same way that a mob boss would shake somebody down,” Luján said on MSNBC on Sunday night. “The corruption surrounding this is on full display. And we should call this for what it is.” ....

Rep. Welch says he would also welcome the person who started it all to come testify:

President Trump.

does it mean he can go ask another foreign country to investigate another presidential candidate,

a member of Congress, a governor, a senator or any private American citizen doing business overseas?"

Rep. Jordan’s mantra that Amb. Taylor has to be wrong because the aid was in fact released
without Zelinski ever making a public announcement is absurd.

What happened in-between to release the aid was that Trump was caught red-handed when the whistleblower spoke up!

Republicans keep saying these witnesses have no direct knowledge,
without acknowledging the White House has BLOCKED
those who have such knowledge from testifying.

Democrats have not made that point during their own time.

Jordan: Of the 435 members of Congress, you are the only member who knows [who the whistleblower is].

Schiff: First, as the gentleman knows, that's a false statement:
I do not know the identity of the whistleblower.

Trump Loudly Pressed for Biden Probe in Call Overheard on Cellphone in Ukraine

.......According to Taylor’s sworn statement, “in the presence of my staff at a restaurant, Ambassador Sondland called President Trump and told him of his meetings in Kyiv. The member of my staff could hear President Trump on the phone, asking Ambassador Sondland about ‘the investigations.’ Ambassador Sondland told President Trump that the Ukrainians were ready to move forward.”

That cellphone call took place on July 26, one day after Trump had pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to do him the “favor” of boosting right-wing conspiracy theories about Biden and other Democrats by opening criminal investigations on them......

After the call, Taylor said, “The member of my staff asked Ambassador Sondland what President Trump thought of Ukraine. Ambassador Sondland responded that

President Trump cares more about the investigations of Biden, which Giuliani was pressing for.” ..........

“Normally EU Ambos don’t call presidents. They never do so to discuss Ukraine policy. Doing so on a cellphone from Kyiv means whole world was listening in.” .........

Instead of lethal weapons to Ukraine Obama tried the route of slapping sanctions on Russia.  This is the same strategy Trump has been using against North Korea.   And in Trump's case he has even given up criticizing North Korea when it launches ballistic missiles.

Two can play the game of ****-for-tat.  This is all just ignoring the issue of Trump's guilt in the impeachment inquiry.  Yes, you can say he is going to be acquitted but I don't hear you arguing that he was innocent or that future democratic presidents should be allowed to do what he has done.
