Could you be looking for Grace Coppin?

She only made 2 films and SO YOUNG, SO BAD was her first. I've never heard of her, but I guess she had a bit of a stage career. I've also never seen the movie.

If I'm right....NEXT: IT HAPPENED TO JANE (1959)....listed but an uncredited role.

MrMagoo, according to imdb.com, LOST BOUNDARIES (1949) was Grace Coppin's first film.  I'm thinking of someone much better-known (and still alive and active, in fact).  I will give a hint, though: they went by a different name in SO YOUNG, SO BAD.
