Rudy and the Beast

Read a profile on "elite strike team" member Jenna Ellis. As might be expected in Trumpland she has

inflated her resume, claiming to be a specialist in constitutional law, when she isn't and has a rather

average record as a lawyer. Donny doesn't care. He likes that she will defend him to the bitter end

and tell any lie to forward that defense. She's acting more as a pr person than a lawyer.

There are actually two theories on the day Rudy dyed. One is hair dye. The other is that at the last

minute he decided to hide his graying sideburns with some quickly applied mascara. Either way,

things didn't turn out well.

Trump actually did try to hire the best Republican election lawyers (e.g. those that represented Bush in Bush vs Gore).    All of them refused since they didn't wish to be part of this circus where there was no evidence.

Smart people. And Trump can keep more of that 200 million he has raised from his suckers and losers.

Rudy Giuliani says 'we don't need courts' after judges in SIX states dismissed his election fraud appeals by Trump campaign in blow to president's bid to overturn the result

During a Friday appearance on Hannity, Rudy Giuliani claimed that the Trump team did not need courts to secure a path of victory for the president. 'The simple fact is, we don't need courts. The United States Constitution gives sole power to the state legislator to decide presidential elections,' Trump's personal lawyer explained to Hannity. Giuliani's bold claim come as Trump's legal team continue to have their cases thrown out in six key states they need to secure the election - Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada and Wisconsin. The Trump campaign has filed 46 lawsuits, none of which have made serious headway, since Joe Biden was named President-elect on November 7.

Georgia's GOP secretary of state says he has already investigated 'bombshell' video Rudy Giuliani claimed proves voting fraud and says it shows nothing out of the ordinary

A Georgia elections official says video from Atlanta that Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani called a 'smoking gun' purporting to show election fraud was in fact 'normal ballot processing.'

Rudy!  Give me a big hug, pal.

'Rudy has tested positive for the China Virus': Trump reveals on Twitter that his lawyer Giuliani has COVID and will step back from spearheading 'election fraud' campaign

Donald Trump tweets that Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for coronavirus

Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for the coronavirus, the president tweeted Sunday. Giuliani is just the latest person in Trump's circle to test positive, after Trump, the first lady, and Chief of Staff Mark Meadows tested positive. He has traveled the country making Trump's case that the election was 'rigged' and that that it was 'stolen.' He has appeared both at legislative hearings and at unofficial Republican-run quasi-hearings where witnesses claimed massive fraud, even as judges have tossed out dozens of lawsuits. He has regularly appeared unmasked at the events. Giuliani's son, Andrew, announced a positive test after attending a press conference with Trump's 'elite strike force' legal team last month.

While I want to say that Trump's  comments about Giuliani are by far the biggest pile of BS he has said,    sadly they aren't.

This is probable--

but could also just be a face-saving strategy to get the disaster of a car wreck Giuliani out of the Limelight.

Undoubtably we all wish Rudy well, but probably not as strongly as "SNL", who really need his input for their sketches.

Now that Rudy has covid 19 a lot of people will be going through the "We all wish him well" lines that are expected whenever a person gets ill.

I don't wish Giuliani any harm but, with his travels across the nation, maskless, shaking hands, hugging people, after all the others around Trump who have already fallen ill with the virus, I have to say THE LUNKHEAD IS GETTING WHAT LUNKHEADS IGNORING SAFETY CONCERNS DESERVE TO GET!

And in regard to that I only feel contempt for Giuliani to have set himself up for the virus the way he did. Unfortunately, as we all know, stupid people NEVER learn, so I doubt very much that Rudy getting hospitalized with covid 19 will prove to be any more of a lesson for others who refuse to wear a mask than had any of the others in Trump's circle who got it, including the President himself.

Speaking of which, you think any of the following will get cancelled now?

I'm sure that Rudy will be getting special treatment reserved for the rich and powerful.  And he will probably get that drug cocktail made from the stem cells of an aborted fetus as did Ben Carson and Donald Trump.  Pro-lifers.

It now appears that Rudy who is said to be displaying only mild symptoms was hospitalized so that he could receive Remdesivir.  This is the same drug which is derived from stem cells that fellow pro lifers Donald Trump and Ben Carson took.

It is unclear how many other people who are infected by the disease are privy to this drug.  Normally someone with mild symptoms is not admitted to a hospital which is understandable given how busy they are.

But why give it to the people who flouted precautions and were a public health risk over others?

Also gives them good excuses for postponing hearings or losing them.

It appears that they have moved to Phase II.  Screw the courts.  Just have malleable GOP State officials overturn the will of the people and declare Donald Trump the winner.  They have Ted Cruz and Jim Jordan leading the charge for this.

I predicted a few weeks ago that the GOPers would try this.  It is probably dangerous for state legislators to repeal the will of the people who will be voting on their seats in the next 2-4 years, so that may stymie the Trumpists.

Also, while The Constitution does allow the state legislatures to determine how electors are selected, changing method now would raise the question of passing Ex Post Facto laws, which are prohibited by The Constitution.   This would be a dicey case for the Radical Conservatives on the Supreme Court who claim to be "originalists."

You mean he wasn't telling the truth?

Rudy Giuliani finally ADMITS billing Trump $20,000-a-day to dispute election and moans he's been portrayed as 'some kind of money-grubbing ambulance chaser'

Rudy Giuliani ADMITS associate asked Trump to pay $20,000-a-day fee to dispute election

Rudy Giuliani has admitted that his associate emailed Trump campaign officials requesting he be paid $20,000 per day to dispute the results of the November election.  Giuliani, who is one of Trump's personal lawyers, has previously denied demanding money for his legal services, saying he wanted to help the prove claims of electoral fraud free of charge.  However, in a phone conversation with The New York Times on Friday, the 74-year-old conceded that his associate, Maria Ryan, had sent an email on November 4 demanding payment to at least three Trump campaign officials.
