Interesting you've seen the remake and not the original.

So, you think that's interesting, do ya TB?

Well, I watched Avatar YEARS before getting around to watching Dances with Wolves!

;)

(...naaah, just kiddin'...couldn't resist)

I'm a little behind.  I'm traveling right now.  I've been in the SF Bay Area all week.

201 Grand Hotel- I haven't seen this one in a long time, I think it's time for a re-watch

203 Gilda- Love this movie! I've seen it multiple times and never tire of it

205 The Birds-I also love this one.  I've seen it multiple times at home and in the theater.  My favorite part is the part in the diner: "I THINK YOU'RE EVIL!" I want to go to Bodega Bay sometime and find either the school or Suzanne Pleshette's house and lay on the stairs, covered in fake crows, pretending  to be dead.  Then I want someone to take my picture.

210 Saving Private Ryan- I liked this film, but it wouldn't be one that I would need to watch again and again.

211 Alice Adams- Love this movie.  My girl, Hattie McDaniel, really made the most out of her maid role.

219 The Sixth Sense- Ugh. I saw this when it came out as well. I got really tired of it, really quickly.

220 Crouching Tiger- I saw this when it came out as well. At the time, the martial arts scenes were really advanced.  Then they were overdone, and I was sick of it.

222 Nora Prentiss- Great movie! I'm still trying to figure out Ann Sheridan's dress.

226 Psycho- Love Love Love this movie.  My mom wouldn't let my sister and I see this when we were little, she thought it would give us nightmares.  Then she went out of town, my dad rented it,  and we loved it! (I was like 10, my sister was 5).

227 Rocky Horror- Saw this in the theater during a Halloween event.  It was fun, but nothing I would need to watch over and over.  I am still conflicted by thinking that Tim Curry looked really great as Dr. Frankenfurter.

229 Aladdin- Loved it! Saw it in the theater in the 3rd grade, had the VHS, and now we have the DVD.

231 is The Circus - yes

233 is My Darling Clementine - yes

235 is Please Don't Eat the Daisies - yes

236 is True Grit - yes

237 is Days of Heaven - yes

238 is 9 to 5 - yes

239 is Evita - no

240 is Chocolate - I'm going say no, though I watched maybe half of an hour of it on HBO many years ago

So, right now I'm tied for my best of 7 of 10. I can't identify the others.

Love 233 and 238, I like 235 and 236 (though I am kind of skeptical of John Wayne's Oscar win for that film that year),  I like 235 and 237.

Do not like 239 at all, never thought much of Madonna's acting ability, even though she did managed to wow most people with her performance in that film.  The film just bored me to tears.

Haven't seen 231 or 240, though I would like to try and catch 231 sometime.

One of the actresses in #234 looks like Patricia Neal, but I don't know the movie.

I've seen the rest except Evita.

You're correct...Patricia Neal is one of the co-leads in that film.

The latest best picture nominee I haven't seen is A Star is Born (2018). Before that it's The White Parade in 1934.

Maybe you've heard they're making a remake of that latter one there, Lawrence.

This one though won't be a story about nurses.

Nope, I hear this one's gonna be about Republicans.

(...yeah, yeah, I know...much too easy this one, huh)  ;)

That's impressive, Lawrence!

242 I know they were in other films together, but my guess is this is The Shop Around the Corner, in which case yes

244 Another guess. The Sniper? In which case yes

245 is The Miracle Worker - yes

246 Looking at the children, I'm feeling like it must be The Sound of Music, in which case yes (though I don't recognize the adults)

247 is The Poseidon Adventure - yes

248 is Beverly Hills Cop - yes

249 is , I think, A Simple Plan? - no

250 I can't identify, but I've seen all the Daniel Craig Bond movies, so if this one of them, yes

If all my guesses are correct, then I've seen at least seven out of 10.

Death of a Salesman is hard to find, and yes, its true, I never saw the most famous midnight film of them all

Some blind spots here. And Chocolot bogged down too quickly, I felt. I love The Circus. Evita is underrated, and is very much Madonna's finest hour.

Have you seen these classic films:

241.

Screen Shot 2019-11-21 at 11.51.04 AM.jpeg ?

242.

Screen shot 2017-12-08 at 1.31.26 PM.png The Shop Around the Corner. Wonderful film.

243.

Screen Shot 2019-02-08 at 12.55.37 PM.jpeg Three Came Home? Haven't seen it yet.

244.

Screen Shot 2019-11-24 at 1.39.28 PM.jpeg Is this The Manchurian Candidate? If it is, I've seen it.

245.

Screen Shot 2019-02-09 at 10.32.53 AM.jpeg The Miracle Worker. Again, fine film.

246.

Screen Shot 2019-02-08 at 8.34.14 PM.jpeg Might be a minority opinion here, but I love The Sound of music.

247.

Screen-Shot-2018-12-25-at-12.00.34-PM.pn Poseidon Adventure. Most tragic scene in the film right there.

248.

Screen Shot 2019-11-24 at 7.40.10 PM.jpegBeverly Hills Cop II or is it the first one here? I saw the first, not the second. I love the soundtrack on the first film, especially Neutron Dance and Stir It up.

249.

Screen shot 2017-06-22 at 3.09.48 PM.png A Simple Plan. MacBeth in the upper Midwest. A chilly film, but sublime performances make it one of the standouts of 1998.

250.

screen.jpeg I haven't seen any of Craig's Bond outings....

Well, that just goes to show how long it's been since I've actually seen The Sound of Music, though it was a childhood staple. I felt pretty confident I was right about that, though the lack of Julie Andrews in the still made me hesitant.

I'm not entirely sure if I've seen Dodge City or not, and since I'm unable to formulate even the vaguest of plot descriptions, I will say no. Possibly I've seen pieces of it here and there on TCM. So, I will say I've still only seven of 10, which is the tie for my highest number for many of these lists.
