chaya bat woof woof
I love the original Walter Mitty. The only movie I don't think I saw was 1402. Sounds interesting. I liked The Client and it made for a decent TV show with Jobeth Williams. Never cared for Hopkins portrayal of Hannibal L.

There's a sharp looking print of SECRET BEYOND THE DOOR currently on YouTube. It has Greek subtitles but is in English with none of the original dialogue dubbed. Highly recommended movie! TopBilled
Have you seen these classic films: 1411. 1412. 1413. 1414. 1415. 1416. 1417. 1418. 1419. 1420.
sewhite2000
1411 Must be Bachelor Mother, right? Which I've seen, though I forgot Charles Coburn was in it, so it might be something else. 1413 is Dark Passage. I've started it a number a times. I've seen all the early scenes when he's still in the bandages, but I've never seen the whole thing. 1415 Bundle of Joy, the Bachelor Mother remake. Yes. 1418 The Mirror Crack'd. Seen parts of it, but not the whole thing, so I'll call it a No. 1420 Boy, I'm not sure! Everything looks too modern setting for it to be Mr. & Mrs. Bridge. I'll have to wait for it to be identified. I don't know the others. So, there's only one I'm absolutely sure I've seen! Maybe a few more. I'll have to wait.

I know I haven't seen 1414.

Charles Coburn plays David Niven's father in BACHELOR MOTHER. 1418 is another Christie mystery film. 3 minutes ago, Bethluvsfilms said: I love 1413 and adore 1420. 1418 is an interesting time-killer. 1411, 1412 and 1415 are all quite charming. If I recall correctly, there's a special credit at the end which dedicates the movie to her memory. Rex Harrison & Richard Burton had previously costarred in CLEOPATRA (1963)...but this later film was a radical departure for them, in terms of content.
sewhite2000
Oh, my gosh that's Jessica Tandy. Duh. I haven't woken up yet. I was trying to think of a Newman-Woodward film. Never mind!
chaya bat woof woof
I've seen at least half the films. Dark Passage is one of Agnes Moorehead's best performances (I read the David Goodis novel). Nobody's Fool is one of my favorite Newman movies. Bruce Willis in one of his finest roles (also like him in Pulp Fiction). I think Newman starred in another film or miniseries on HBO based on a Richard Russo novel (he, I think also did Nobody's Fool). Ed Harris is in it as his son. Just watched Bachelor Mother (Charles Coburn is a scene stealer).
TopBilled
Cheat Sheet: 1411. BACHELOR MOTHER (1939) with Ginger Rogers, Charles Coburn & David Niven. 1412. LITTLE NELLIE KELLY (1940) with Judy Garland & George Murphy. 1413. DARK PASSAGE (1947) with Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall. 1414. THE MAGIC CARPET (1951) with Gregory Gaye & Lucille Ball. 1415. BUNDLE OF JOY (1956) with Debbie Reynolds & Eddie Fisher. 1416. STAIRCASE (1969) with Rex Harrison & Richard Burton. 1417. A WOMAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE (1974) with Gena Rowlands. 1418. EVIL UNDER THE SUN (1982) with Peter Ustinov, Nicholas Clay & Maggie Smith. 1419. BAGDAD CAFE (1987) with Marianne Sagebrecht & C.C.H. Pounder. 1420. NOBODY’S FOOL (1994) with Jessica Tandy & Paul Newman.
sewhite2000
Oops, Evil Under the Sun. The Mirror Crack'd was Miss Marple and not Poirot. I've been easily confused today. Pandemic is wearing me down. I did watch A Woman Under the Influence in what may have been its only TCM airing. So, I've only seen three of these.
TopBilled
Have you seen these classics: 1421. 1422. 1423. 1424. 1425. 1426. 1427. 1428. 1429. 1430.

Seen them all except 1427 and 1430. 1428 I actually liked when I was younger, now not so much. While Goldie's not one of my favorites, her earlier teaming with Chevy Chase in FOUL PLAY I much preferred to this one. 1422 Gregory Peck was so dreamy in this one, so a big thumbs up for me on this film. 1424 I always got a kick out of. I like 1421 quite well. The rest I can take them or leave them.
TopBilled
I like 1424 a lot too. One of Betty Hutton's best performances. 1427 is a Louis Malle film from the 1970s. I think you might enjoy 1430. Streep seems to be channeling Bette Davis in this one.
sewhite2000
1422 must be The Valley of Decision. I don't think I've ever seen it all the way through. 1424 is Annie Get Your Gun. Yes. 1428 is Seems Like Old Times. Yes. 1429 Primary Colors. No. 1430 is The Devil Wears Prada. No. I don't have a guess for the others. Possibly I've only seen two.
LsDoorMat
1421. Xenobia 1422 Valley of Decision 1423 Unconquered 1424 Annie Get Your Gun 1425 Old Yeller 1426 Best of Everything 1427 Lacombe, Lucien 1428 Seems Like Old Times 1429 1430 Devil Wears Prada
LsDoorMat
I've likely seen 1429, but not much of a hint - made between 1428 and 1430 chronologically. John Travolta in a jacket looking like a normal person. I could tell you which movies it is not.
chaya bat woof woof
1421 no 1427 no Not sure if I ever saw Old Yeller I've seen the rest (I think). Remember Rona Jaffe came up on a book tour here. My Moms said she was boring. Rona Jaffee is The Best of Everything.

sewhite2000
Once again, I'm really struggling with all the older movies. 1437 is Inside Daisy Clover. Yes. 1439 is Popeye. Yes 1440 is Wag the Dog. Yes. I've seen at least three!
chaya bat woof woof
I wish they would run Wag The Dog now. Waiting to see when films are named. I think I've seen a majority of them.

sewhite2000
I've seen What Price Hollywood? and Two-Faced Woman. I really wanted to guess that was what 1432 was, but I hesitated. So, I've seen five.
