sewhite2000
Okay, I've seen Where the Boys Are, Johnny Got His Gun an Stardust Memories, so I've seen seven of these. That ties my "best" for the new lists you've been having from 1000 on.

sewhite2000
I actually don't remember a ton about any of them. Boys is the only one I've seen more than once. It's an okay watch. I don't remember it airing during the recent swimsuit movie spotlight, but maybe I just missed it. I first saw footage of Johnny in a Metallica video, of all things. I seem to recall it being kind of pretentious, but I probably need to watch it again. And Stardust is a rare Woody Allen movie I've only seen once, kind of 8 1/2-evocative, as I recall. I do remember the joke about "the early, funny ones", which a lot of critics were probably wishing he'd go back to at that time.

He certainly wasn't paying attention to his critics! I've never seen JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN. But it looks like the type of "think piece" I'd probably enjoy.
TopBilled
Have you seen these classics: 1501. 1502. 1503. 1504. 1505. 1506. 1507. 1508. 1509. 1510.

Seen all except 1503. 1506 and 1507 are my personal favorites out of all of these. I like 1504 and 1505 really well. Not an all out admirer of Barbra Streisand, but I thought she did do a fantastic acting job in 1509. The rest are okay.
chaya bat woof woof
There is a funny story about my Dad and a friend of my Mom's/Rabbi regarding the first Beauty and the Beast. Not sure if saw either version. Saw the Streisand film (Nuts?).
sewhite2000
1503 is Beauty and the Beast. Yes. 1509 is Nuts. Yes 1510 is the first Disney Beauty and the Beast. No. I can't identify any of the others! Possibly I've only seen two of these.

Only ones I recognize are 1515, 1518 and 1520. 1515 I watched recently and it's watchable, if not a classic. I saw 1518 a long time ago and if I recall I liked it quite well. 1520 is infamous for the famous dancing in his underwear scene, but I've made no secret in the past that I am no die-hard fan of the film's star.
TopBilled
1515 is currently controlled by Paramount. I only recall it ever airing on TCM just once. It’s definitely a classic and one of John Wayne’s very best. TCM should air it again.
sewhite2000
1512 might be The Informer, which I've seen. 1518 is Arabesque. Yes. 1519 is Wise Blood. Yes. 1520 is Risky Business. Yes. I can't identify any of the others. Only three I'm sure I've seen.

TopBilled
Have you seen these classics: 1521. 1522. 1523. 1524. 1525. 1526. 1527. 1528. 1529. 1530.
sewhite2000
1521 Looks a little like Will Rogers. It could be Judge Priest. I haven't seen it. 1522 Well, there are lots of Tracy-Hepburn movies. I've seen almost all of them. I'm guessing this is Woman of the Year, which I've seen. Could be Adam's Rib, which I've also seen. 1525 is Witness for the Prosecution. Yes. 1526 El Cid? We had to watch it in my high school Spanish class, so I've seen it, if that's what this is. 1527 is Two for the Road. No. 1529 is Animal House. Yes. 1530 is Kiss of the Spider-Woman. Yes. Only three I'm sure I've seen, but I feel like my score is going to be higher than that.

I've seen all except for 1521, at least it doesn't look familiar to me. 1522, 1525, and 1527 are my top favorites in here. 1529 is understandably not to everyone's taste but I found it hilarious myself. 1530 was not my kind of film.
TopBilled
1521 will be airing later this month on TCM as part of Anne Shirley's Summer Under the Stars tribute. 1524 is my favorite late career Ginger Rogers movie. It's nothing spectacular, but it has charm...and it's nice to see Ginger grow up and play mom to a teenager. I was getting sick of her doing roles that were really too young for her. It's refreshing to see her play a middle-aged woman for once.
LsDoorMat
1523 = Secret Fury 1524 Teenage Rebel 1528 Shootout I think others guessed the rest of them. I am guessing myself. TB is getting good at showing photos of just one actor or maybe one actor and an unknown. Hard to guess. I'd say no to 1526 and 1527 - not my kind of films - and yes to the rest.

It's the third of three that Claudette Colbert made with Don Ameche, after MIDNIGHT and GUEST WIFE.
chaya bat woof woof
I loved 1530, as well as 1525 and 1527. Re: 1525 - the way a very brief story is used as a vehicle for some inside jokes (the one with Tyrone Power in the movie theater) as well as the subtle changes to the story worked for me. Amazing cast. I never saw 1529. Have to see what some of the other movies are.
