AndreaDoria
The only one I recognized last time was, "The Full Monty." Not sure what that says about me. These romantic photos of the leads remind me of how often the actress has to let her head fall way back on her neck like Rita in 2293. Ava Gardner does it, in her movies, to such an extreme it hurts me to watch her.

LsDoorMat
I haven't seen The Brighton Strangler, or at least I don't remember seeing it. I'd only call Mannequin a "classic" film because it is so very 80s.

I'd only call Mannequin a "classic" film because it is so very 80s. There's an excellent article I found online, written for a British blog, that looked at what they considered the best 80s rom-coms. And MANNEQUIN (1987) made their Top Ten. What it has going in its favor is pure escapist entertainment. Never once does the script acknowledge the fact that the guy couldn't possibly have a realistic relationship with an actual mannequin, and we are made to suspend disbelief that in some sort of romantic fantasy realm, he's fulfilled with her! It's a wacky premise to say the least. Plus we get an excellent soundtrack with a classic chart topping tune from Starship.
