Best Endings & Beginnings in film history?

I cannot find a good video of it, but I love the ending to Kubo and the Two Strings (2016). It is such a unique and heartwarming ending! Instead of the typical finale where the "bad guy" is killed or cast out, he loses his memory and is taken back into the village and told that he is a good and kind person, then lives out his life as the kind person everyone told him he was. It is so refreshing to see a story of redemption. Just because someone was acting in an unloving way, does not mean they should be alienated or destroyed. What they really need is love and kindness.  This ending also goes to show how the words and actions of others can really program our own behaviors and feelings of self worth.

@skimpole, Trouble in Paradise is my other favorite movie ending! :)
