Athos
What would you like to see programmed for the 2021 TCM Big Screen Classics schedule? Let's try and follow the general format and program the majority of the films based on anniversary celebrations and a variety of decades. Mine in chronological order: Citizen Kane (1941) - 80th Anniversary The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) - 75th Anniversary The Third Man (1949) Rear Window (1954) Giant (1956) - 65th Anniversary The King and I (1956) - 65th Anniversary Peyton Place (1957) The Guns of Navarone (1961) - 60th Anniversary Grand Prix (1966) - 55th Anniversary The Last Picture Show (1971) - 50th Anniversary The French Connection (1971) - 50th Anniversary Barry Lyndon (1975) Rocky (1976) - 45th Anniversary Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) - 40th Anniversary Platoon (1986) - 35th Anniversary
sewhite2000
Most years, TCM/Fathom events appears to be pretty big on anniversary releases, so I would think any of those you listed are likely possibilities.
Athos
Thanks to the Criterion Channel, I was able to rewatch Tom Jones (1963) a few nights ago. What a fun, beautiful film. Gorgeous cinematography, costumes, and music. Last night I watched Around the World in 80 Days (1956) for the first time. Another fun movie with outstanding visuals and music, not to mention all of the stars throughout. I'd love to see both of these on the big screen too, which is the only way to truly appreciate them. If anyone has any interest in the Big Screen Classics, I encourage you to email TCM and give your input. If enough people express certain titles, maybe we can get more of the fun epics rather than Ghost and The Blues Brothers.

I'd like to add the 60th Anniversary screening of the original 1961 film version of West Side Story for the year 2021 to your list, however.

The newer director's cut is actually shorter than the original theatrical release. I haven't seen the DC as yet though.
Bogie56
Charles Chaplin's The Kid (1921) will be 100.
markfp2
I'd be happy to see ANYTHING! Here in New York State all the indoor theaters are still closed because of the pandemic. Although the theaters are ready and willing to comply with all the rules and restrictions, the Governor won't budge on letting them open. The sad thing is while the major chains will find a way to survive, the small independents, especially in smaller communities may not.

I only left it off of my list because TCM and Fathom Events screened it in 2018, so I don't think they will program it again, despite its anniversary year.

ClassicMovieholic
I would be happy to see a lot of the choices already mentioned here. It will take me time to think of a full list, but one I can think of now is El Cid (1961), 60th anniversary in 2021. Would love to see the full big-screen potential of that!

Most everything is closed in Oregon too; at least the Portland Metro Area. I'd love to see anything in the theaters as well!

I'd love to see anything in the theaters as well! Most of the movie theatres here in the Bay State are open, with limited admissions, if one gets the drift, as well as the requirements for wearing masks that cover the mouth and the nose, but the few independent repertory/arthouse movie theatres here in Somerville, Brookline and Cambridge have not opened back up yet. Too bad, because those are the movie theatres that I love to patronize the most.

I would still love to see TCM and Fathom Events do a 60th-year anniversary screening of the original 1961 film version of West Side Story sometime in 2021, even though I was there for both screenings of that same film here in Boston back in 2018. I've seen other films of his, however, such as Gold Rush, Modern Times, The Great Dictator, and Monsieur Verdeaux (which I didn't like much), and City Lights (which I didn't care for, either.). Gold Rush, Modern Times and the Great Dictator, however, were fabulous.
