Dame Vera Lynn (1917-2020)

My first exposure to Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet Again" or for that matter any of her recordings (and I would assume like many if not most Boomers) would be during the ending of Dr. Strangelove which Swithin posted above.

And so, I always wondered how she felt about her memorably sentimental WWII-era song becoming so closely associated with and used in the ironic fashion that it was in that Cold War dark comedy.

Good point !  Wonder if she was ever asked ?
