Ford Bronco Reveal Moved From July 9, O.J. Simpson’s Birthday

Ford originally planned to reveal the highly anticipated 2021 Bronco at an event in April, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed that indefinitely. Last week, the automaker announced it would reveal the Bronco in a virtual event on July 9, but that's been delayed too, for a much funnier reason. As many online pointed out, July 9 is O.J. Simpson's birthday. Simpson made the off-roader infamous when he led Los Angeles Police on a widely televised slow-speed police chase in the passenger seat of a Bronco after the murder of his wife.

The Dearborn automaker said the choice of the 9th was "purely coincidental," but the Ford decided to change the date anyway. Ford's comms boss Mark Truby tweeted that "we wanted to be sensitive and respectful of this concern," when announcing that the reveal would be pushed to July 13.

They can always wear a glove when it is revealed, one that doesn't fit.
