I recently stumbled on a classic movie that was (according to the description) about a world war 2 escape that took place in the same barracks that "The Great Escape" occurred.  I thought I kept track of this title but now I cannot locate it.  I don't remember much else and hope someone knows what movie this might be?

Thanks!

Was it the 1950 British film "The Wooden Horse"? It starred Leo Genn, David Tomlinson, Anthony Steel and Peter Finch.

Wow! Have never even heard of this one, but now I'd really like to see it.

(...has TCM ever shown it that you know of, jakeem?)

I believe so. Or perhaps I'm confusing it with "The Password Is Courage," a 1962 POW movie that starred Dirk Bogarde.
