Alicia Malone while showing Sammy Davis Jr.'s  movies last week, she continually called Sammy Davis Jr. Davis Jr! Please have her to respect Mr. Sammy Davis Jr's full name, she never do that to other stars, please have her to pronounce his whole name when she's referencing him  about the movies he's in. it's disrespectful! Thank you!

Your saying a TCM host should never refer to someone using only that person's last name?   ,

OR does this '"be respectful rule"  only apply to Juniors?

This is a serious question,  because it is common for hosts to only use the last name.     E.g.   the first time they mention someone they say the full name,   (John Erickson),  but after that it is either just the last name,   the first name ,   or a stage type name (Bogie).        Rarely have I heard a TCM host say Humphrey Bogart (after that first time),  but instead either Bogart or Bogie.

Yes, I don't think she's being disrespectful. She's just abbreviating the name, which is an accepted practice.
