Warner Bros. DVDs manufactured 2006-2009 going bad over time

This was a problem I found out about just last night. Since I bought my WB classic collections mainly between 2006-2009 I am naturally upset about this. Has anyone else had this experience? I will check some of mine as I have time and thought I'd put this thread here so others could speak up about the problem. Apparently it is a known defect in a plant in Pennsylvania where the discs were made. After WB moved their disc manufacturing to Mexico in 2009 there were no more problems. Older discs do not have this problem. Here is a link to the home theater forum thread on the subject. Apparently it started showing up in 2017.

Cruddy made in Mexico DVD-Rs ! Of course those  don’t last.

studios have gone cheap in the last 10 years.  Ever since streaming began.

it’s no more mass production. Cost too much. Now it’s made on demand and on DVD-Rs. They also went cheap on regular DVDs (made in Mexico).
those lousy eco cases. Went cheap there too.
