Would Mickey Rooney actually have been 100 years old this year?

Yes.    Did you really have to ask this?  Don't you know how to use Google?

Also,  this should go under "info".

Okay then and sorry James, but because after I Googled the following, I just couldn't find anything which would once and for all settle a certain question when it comes to Mickey, and so I'll have to ask it here.

Question: Was the real reason Mickey had so many beautiful wives (like my Ava and your Martha) was because despite his diminutive physical stature, he was hung like a horse???

(...nope, couldn't find anything about this in his Wiki bio page at all, anyway...nope, not even in the "Personal life" section of it)  ;)

LOL

He was born on September 23, 1920. So yes, he would have been 100 today. 💗💗💗

He was my grandfather, but I never had the chance to meet him. Only hand-written letters between us. I would have liked for him to celebrate his 100th birthday.

Y'know, despite all the fun people here and elsewhere make of him, I can't remember a time i DIDN'T like Mickey Rooney.  That might sound corny to some of y'all, but I don't care.  I've never been able to( like some others on these boards) dismiss anything or anybody based simply on the idea that they(or it) wasn't what I think it or they should be.

I always liked MICKEY ROONEY too.  It is hard for people my age to appreciate what a huge star he was in 1940.  Of course, when I was a child in the '60s everybody still knew who MICKEY ROONEY was, one of the most famous people in the world.  I've long suspected that MICKEY's huge stardom is what attracted some of his wives.  I have at least 5 or 6 press photos of MICKEY ROONEY from the 1930s...  in one, he is lounging by his pool behind his newly built home.

There was an interview (so I have read) that Laurence Oliver was being praised for his acting and he made a comment that he admired Mickey Rooney for his acting ability. I have always like Mickey too.

WE(my wife and I plus a few other family members) used to kid one of our brothers in law about him resembling Mickey.  You know, make like you slipped and called him "Andy" or something...  ;)   But really, looked like maybe Mickey's taller brother(the guy IS 6'1") with a JOHN DEERE cap!  :D

Everyone tells me we have the same nose and something about our faces. I don't see it though. I think I look like my mother. 😁

Meaning no disrespect to Mickey, but one would HOPE so........    ;)

Aw I think he was charming! That is actually my favorite photo of him.

Still, in all, I think ANY girl would rather resemble her Mother.  ;)
