screw the traditional Thanksgiving victuals

Recommended Posts

I will be having two of my lastest food discovery...

Shepherd's Pie from acme. fresh-baked there.

only takes 5 minutes in the microwave.

the outer crust is mashed potatoes. inside is contained corn, peas and carrots in a beef hash.

a compact wholesome meal.

:)

Why your "lastest?"  Are you thinking of leaving us, when Biden wins?

Also I only see one item,  Shepherd's Pie from acme.     Nipkow is losing it,  just like his beloved will in a week or so!

today I had two shepherd pies from acme and a boca burger made from soy...

once in the lost in space ep 'the space trader' Mrs Robinson and Judy claimed they were gonna make hamburger patties from dehydrated stringbeans.

That's the real reason Dr. Smith was a stowaway. He was hiding from statutory rape charges for

making it with Penny. Boo, hiss.

I'm staying away from that pie since it's bad form to puke on Thanksgiving day. This year I'm going

with a big plate of spaghetti with lots of sauce and cheese.

I'll often have one of these for lunch.   Not really all that bad.  But I just nuke 'em.

But for Thanksgiving I'll try to get the usual "traditional" fare.  Turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, yams, cranberry sauce( still love that canned jellied stuff, not the "relish") and pumpkin pie.  When I was comin' up pumpkin pie and something called "minced meat" pie( and no, there really wasn't any meat in it) were considered the "traditional" Thanksgiving desserts, due to (in the days before canning) the ingredients not being available year 'round.  I never knew ANYbody who felt apple pie was a traditional Thanksgiving dessert.  Just in the last 15 or so years have I heard of that.

Have no idea what the family might be doing this year due to recent and current circumstances.
